Founded in 2006, Ozbatteries began as a small hobby driven by a passion for technology. Initially, we imported a variety of products from the USA, Japan, and China, with a primary focus on cameras, SD cards, and mobile phones. However, as the market evolved and became increasingly saturated, we recognized the need for adaptation and growth.

In response to changing market conditions, we expanded our line up to include ink cartridges and later made a significant shift towards batteries, which at the time were more affordable when sourced from overseas due to high Australian prices. As the landscape of technology matured and the influx of imported goods continued, we made the strategic decision to streamline our offerings. We phased out cameras and ink cartridges, concentrating solely on batteries, our core business.

As from 2024 Ozbatteries Australia is proud to source all our products locally from reputable suppliers within all states of Australia with whom we have maintained long-term relationships. We have over 20 suppliers who are commitment to quality which ensures that our customers receive the best products at the best price available.

In 2016, we took a significant step forward by becoming the official distributor for iCellTech hearing aid batteries in Australia. This partnership allowed us to expand our range and better serve those in need of reliable battery solutions for hearing aids. Additionally, in 2017, we developed our very own range of earplugs, which underwent rigorous testing with selected customers prior to launch. We are proud to say that our earplugs are now recognized as offering some of the best noise-blocking solutions in Australia.
