Smart Features and Efficiency
Bluetooth Smart The Blue Smart IP22 Charger gives you a wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current. You can also change settings and update the charger when new features become available.
High Efficiency These chargers are highly efficient. With up to 94% efficiency, they generate up to four times less heat than the industry standard. When a battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to just 0.5 Watts. This is five to ten times better than the industry standard.
Advanced Charging Algorithms
Adaptive 6-Stage Charge Algorithm The Blue Smart Charger features microprocessor-controlled, adaptive battery management. This adaptive feature automatically optimizes the charging process based on how you use the battery. The six stages are: Test – Bulk – Absorption – Recondition – Float – Storage.
Storage Mode The charger enters Storage Mode when a battery has not been subjected to a discharge for 24 hours. In this mode, it reduces float voltage to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery). This minimizes gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the charger raises the voltage back to the absorption level to ‘equalize’ the battery, which prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation—a major cause of early battery failure.
Li-ion (LiFePO₄) Battery Charging The charger uses a simple bulk–absorption–float algorithm to charge LiFePO₄ batteries.
NIGHT and LOW Settings Switch to NIGHT or LOW mode to reduce the output current to a maximum of 50% of the nominal output. In these modes, the charger operates silently. The NIGHT mode automatically ends after 8 hours, while the LOW mode requires a manual end.
Safety and User Interface
Overheating Protection The charger will reduce its output current as the temperature increases up to 50°C. This prevents overheating and protects the charger from failure.
Status Indication Eleven LEDs on the unit indicate the charging status.

- MODE Button: Use the MODE button to set the charge mode: NORMAL (14.4V) / HIGH (14.7V) / RECONDITION / LI-ION.
