Description
The Maxell SR927W watch battery is a 1.55V, 57mAh high-drain silver oxide cell that suits watches with extra functions, such as an alarm or backlight. Because silver oxide holds a steady voltage, your watch keeps accurate time until the battery is nearly flat. As a result, you avoid the gradual slowing that cheaper cells can cause. In addition, Maxell’s leak-resistant processing helps stop electrolyte seeping out.
Features of the Maxell SR927W watch battery
- First, it gives long-lasting, reliable power for everyday use.
- Also, the leak-resistant design helps protect your watch movement.
- Because it is compact and lightweight (9.5mm wide, 2.7mm high), it suits slim cases.
- Finally, Maxell, a brand people trust worldwide, makes it.
Is the Maxell SR927W watch battery right for you?
This is a high-drain battery, so it suits multi-function watches, pocket calculators and cameras that need occasional bursts of power. However, a simple analog watch may need the low-drain SR927SW instead. Your watch may list this cell as SR927W, 399 or SR57. Therefore, check the code on your old battery or in your manual before you order. If you are not sure, browse our full range of Maxell button batteries to find the right match.
How to replace it
First, open the case back carefully. Next, note which way the old battery faces. Then fit the new cell the same way up and close the case. If your watch is water-resistant, ask a jeweller to reseal it afterwards, because the seal can loosen when you open the case.
Safety and disposal
First, keep button batteries away from children and pets. Also, for more advice, see the Product Safety Australia guidance on button battery safety. Swallowing one is a medical emergency, so seek help immediately. Afterwards, when the battery is flat, take it to a recycling drop-off, such as those at many Australian supermarkets and hardware stores.
